Diwali Friendship Quiz: How Well Do Your Friends Know Your Diwali?
5 November 2026
Every friend group has that one person who knows exactly which sweet you’ll grab first, and that other person who still thinks you love crackers when you’ve been covering your ears since you were five. Diwali is the perfect time to find out who’s who.
The Diwali Special is a free quiz about your Diwali. You answer 10 quick questions about yourself, share the link, and your friends guess your answers. Everyone gets a score, and you see who really knows you.
make my Diwali quiz ✨What the quiz asks
The questions are all about how you celebrate. Here’s a taste:
- Your favourite Diwali sweet. Kaju katli, gulab jamun, laddoo, jalebi, rasmalai… or are you secretly a soan papdi fan?
- What you do with fireworks. Do you light the loudest ones, stick to sparklers, or watch from far away with your ears covered?
- Your role in Diwali cleaning. Do you clean the whole house, or mysteriously disappear the moment the broom comes out?
- Your rangoli skills. Total artist, Instagram copier, or the person who steps on it by mistake?
- Your Diwali outfit. Lehenga, saree, kurta, sherwani, or whatever mom picks?
- How many sweets you eat. Just one, a whole box, or everyone else’s too?
- Your Diwali night plan. Family games, diya selfies, crackers, eating nonstop, or sleeping early?
- The gift you secretly want. Cash, a new phone, new clothes, chocolates… or the classic dry fruits box?
- Your job at home on Diwali. Decorations, photos, food tasting, or the lazy one on the sofa?
- How you wish your friends. A forwarded GIF, a long sweet message, a voice note, a story, or a visit in person?
How to play
- Make your quiz. Type your name, pick boy or girl (it changes the wording), and answer 10 questions. It takes about a minute.
- Share your link on WhatsApp, Instagram or Snapchat. Family groups work great too, especially during Diwali week.
- Watch the scoreboard. Friends see right and wrong answers straight away, so nobody can cheat by changing an answer.
What your friends’ scores mean
- 100%: a real one. They’ve clearly been to your house on Diwali.
- 80–99%: a true friend who just got confused between laddoo and kaju katli.
- 50–79%: a friend who needs to come over this Diwali and pay more attention.
- Under 50%: hmm. Maybe they only show up when the sweets do.
Of course it’s just a game. A low score doesn’t make someone a bad friend, but it’s a fun way to start a conversation (and a bit of teasing). If you want to read about the real signs, see 10 things Diwali reveals about real and fake friends.
Is it free and safe?
Yes, it’s free, with no app and no sign-up. You only type a name (it doesn’t have to be your real one), and you can delete your quiz any time from the ☰ menu on your share page. It works in 26 languages, including Hindi, Hinglish, Bengali, Tamil, Punjabi and Nepali.
